Job Summary
As a key member of the Family Medicine team at Prisma Health, the Clinical Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical services. This position is responsible for providing leadership and mentoring guidance to clinical staff, coordinating department processes, and serving as an expert in clinical care.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports the Department Manager by providing leadership and mentoring guidance to Clinical staff.
- Coordinates department processes in regards to the day-to-day operations of the team.
- Serves as an expert in clinical care, including but not limited to, Therapeutic Intervention, Discharge Planning, Treatment Planning, Policies and Procedures, and Regulatory and Compliance issues.
- Provides direct and indirect clinical services to patients and families, maintaining competence in practice areas.
- Coordinates administrative responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to, staffing, policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, and team building.
- Assists Manager by coordinating, assessing and improving department's performance by designing processes, monitoring performance through data collection, analyzing data and implementing suitable performance improvement initiatives.
- Assists Manager in overseeing environment of care by developing, implementing and monitoring processes to enhance the patient and employee experience.
- Trains new employees as assigned. Conducts periodic training, meetings and/or workshops with Clinical staff.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related Human Services field.
- 5 years - Licensed Clinical Practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- LISW - CP, LPC, or LMFT required and valid in South Carolina; CPR - Heartsaver.
