Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at SSM Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Conduct vital signs, prepare patients for exams, and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and handling correspondence.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification required; other certifications may be preferred depending on the location and department.
