As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant at Pinnacle Charter School, you will play a vital role in supporting student growth and achievement in speech-language pathology. This is a full-time, 10-month position that requires a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Pathology, Communication Disorders-Speech Sciences, or a related field with 24 credits in Speech Language Hearing Science.

The ideal candidate will have completed a school speech-language pathology assistant program or equivalent that meets or exceeds recommended guidelines by a national association of speech-language hearing professionals. Additionally, they will have completed a minimum of 100 clock-hours of a school-based practicum under the supervision of an ASHA nationally certified SLP.

Responsibilities will include assisting the Speech Language Pathologist in implementing treatment/intervention plans, recording students' status, performing various clerical tasks, discussing students' treatment plans, accompanying students from classrooms to service areas, assessing students, and conducting screenings. The successful candidate will also participate in educational facility activities, contribute to our Professional Learning Community (PLC), and be present and engage in Pinnacle functions and organizations to build strong relationships with students, parents, peers, and the community.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to collaborate and communicate effectively, and appreciate the diverse background of students, parents, peers, and the community. They will also be able to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment, and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.

Pinnacle Charter School offers a competitive salary range of $19-$29.69 per hour, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, and AD&D plans, participation in the Colorado Public Schools Retirement System PERA, and flexible spending accounts.
