Sales Manager Role at Building Block Sf
The Sales Manager at Building Block Sf is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the sales department. Their duties include hiring and training sales staff, relaying information from upper management to department staff about sales quotas and generating leads to divide among Sales Representatives.
For any business to thrive, it must have a competent Sales Manager who can plan, execute and oversee all sales and promotional activities effectively. Sales Managers typically undertake the following duties alone or in collaboration with other personnel in the sales department:
- Local and Regional Sales - Overseeing local and regional sales, promotions and campaigns
- Hiring and Training - Planning and directing the hiring and training of new Sales Representatives
- Sales Activities - Directing and coordinating all sales activities locally and regionally
- Sales Budgets and Projections - Preparing sales budgets and projections and approving expenditures
- Sales Statistics - Tracking and analyzing sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics
- Customer Complaints - Handling and resolving customer complaints regarding a product or service
- Discount Rates and Price Schedules - Setting discount rates and determining price schedules
- Policies and SOPs - Advising distributors and dealers on policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Internal and External Partners - Serving as the face of the organization to internal and external partners
- Data-Driven Decisions - Making data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation
- Client Relationships - Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients
- Sales Quotas and Goals - Setting sales quotas and goals
- Sales Team Performance - Overseeing and directing performance of the sales team
- Emerging Markets - Identifying emerging markets to find new sales opportunities
- Territory Sales Plans - Defining and executing territory sales plans
