Flight Paramedic

The Flight Paramedic is a critical member of our team, responsible for providing advanced critical care to patients in diverse and non-traditional settings. This role requires a high level of autonomy and collaboration with other healthcare providers to deliver exceptional patient care.

• Assist and train medical crew members in continuing education and quality assurance
• Make decisions for patient care and destination in conjunction with the Flight Nurse partner
• Maintain training and skills commensurate with flight paramedic duties, equipment operation, and medical guidelines
• Assist with quality assurance, including data collection and chart review
• Provide critical care to patients in emergency situations
• Present a professional appearance and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers

• Currently certified Paramedic in the state of operations
• Maintain certification during employment with SCL Health
• Minimum of three years of experience with a high-volume service
• Certification in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and other relevant courses
• Ability to lift and move patients, as well as navigate small and enclosed spaces

This role is based at Cortez Air Base and Pagosa Springs Air Base, with a scheduled weekly hours of 44.31. The hourly range for this position is $25.58 - $39.49.
