Job Summary

The Flight Paramedic is a critical member of our team, responsible for providing advanced critical care to patients in diverse and non-traditional settings. This role requires a high level of autonomy and collaboration with other healthcare providers to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and train medical crew members in continuing education and quality assurance initiatives
  • Make decisions for patient care and destination in conjunction with the Flight Nurse partner
  • Maintain training and skills commensurate with flight paramedic duties, equipment operation, and medical guidelines
  • Assist with quality assurance, including data collection and chart review for quality improvement
  • Provide critical care to patients in emergency situations
  • Present a professional appearance and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers
Requirements
  • Currently certified Paramedic in the state of operations and maintain certification during employment
  • Minimum of three years of experience with a high-volume service (1600 hours/year minimum each year)
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS)
  • FP-C or CCP-C certification within two years of hire
  • Ability to lift and move patients, as well as navigate small and enclosed spaces
Work Environment

The Flight Paramedic will work in conjunction with multiple agencies at the scene of an emergency incident or sending/receiving facility with diplomacy and tact. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly and accurately.
