The Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health Physician Leader to join our team at the Washington DC, VA Medical Center.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Occupational Health program, providing clinical oversight, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Chairing the Occupational Health Committee to develop and implement policies and procedures
  • Providing training and clinical oversight to medical providers
  • Maintaining professional, technical, and administrative knowledge and competencies
  • Representing the Occupational Health program in interactions with other services and programs

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative: Maintains Medical Center Policy and Procedures for Occupational/Employee Health Program
  • Clinical: Provides clinical duties within the scope of the Occupational/Employee Health Services program
  • Educational: Shows effectiveness in teaching and maintains clinical and administrative competencies
  • Research and Development: Identifies and defines significant Research and Development problems and generates effective reports and results

Work Environment: The position is based at the Washington DC, VA Medical Center and may involve travel to other VA sites and CBOCs.

Salary Range: $240k+ per year

Benefits: Selected candidate may be eligible for student loan repayment through the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) and recruitment/relocation incentive may be available.
