Job Title: Development Coordinator

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles (BBBSLA) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Development Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Fund Development Department, you will play a critical role in supporting our organization's financial growth and mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of donations, gifts, and fundraising activities in our Salesforce CRM system.
  • Coordinate gift processing, including online, wire transfer, and check processing procedures.
  • Provide data and reporting to support operational reviews, activity initiatives, and other development team needs.
  • Support the implementation of email and direct mail campaigns, including content creation, testing, and analysis.
  • Manage and grow our recurring donor portfolio, providing basic outreach, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship to a small portfolio of donors.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in fund development or administrative roles at non-profit organizations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong listening and retention skills.
  • High level of organization and exceptional time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and problem-solve with a solution-based mindset.

Working Location:

Location is based on a percentage of where work time is spent. Indoors - 90%. Travel (local) - 10%: job may require local travel to communities, corporations, institutions, and individuals.

Currently, BBBSLA is operating on a hybrid work schedule, with employees selecting 2+ days per week to work in one of our office locations (Koreatown, Lakewood, Northridge), with the opportunity to work remotely up to 3 days per week.
