Job Summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our team as an Arts and Education Attendant. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging arts and education programs for children and adults, while ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver arts and education programs that promote creativity, curiosity, and learning
  • Develop and maintain relationships with program participants, volunteers, and staff
  • Assist in the planning and execution of events and programs
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for all participants
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. education, arts, child development)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in arts and education programming
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • First Aid and CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with children and adults with diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Knowledge of arts and education best practices
  • Ability to speak multiple languages
  • Experience with program evaluation and assessment
