Job Title: Per Diem RADIATION THERAPISTJob Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at Centers for Advanced Urology. As a key member of our Radiation Oncology department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe and effective administration of radiation therapy treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer daily prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients, adhering to department policies and procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and equipment, ensuring all necessary supplies and devices are available.
  • Set treatment unit parameters and activate the unit to deliver the prescribed dose of radiation.
  • Monitor patients for unusual reactions and events, reporting any concerns to the Clinical Director and Radiation Oncologist.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and machine downtime.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient department operations.
Requirements
  • One year certificate from college or technical school in Radiation Therapy certified by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Certified by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) and American Society of Radiologic Technologist (ASRT).
  • BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.
  • License and certification as required by state.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a Radiation Oncology department.
  • Knowledge of healthcare systems operations, including EMR.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
