About the Role

At Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ambulatory Endocrinology Nurse Specialist to join our team. This role requires expertise in endocrinology and diabetes care, as well as experience in remote triage work.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our interprofessional team to provide therapeutic patient and family-centered care. They will be responsible for systematically collecting and assessing data related to patient health status, developing and executing individualized plans of care, and utilizing evidence to drive clinical decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in an ambulatory setting, including administering medications via injection or intravenously, performing phlebotomy for specialized laboratory tests, and patient teaching.
  • Manage and triage patient calls and inbasket messages via MyChart, as well as perform duties such as patient refills, insurance authorizations, and provider message management.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to establish goals and strategies for meeting care coordination needs across settings.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and assume responsibility for their professional development.
Requirements
  • Clinical experience and/or interest in the care and management of patient populations specific to the area of employment.
  • At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience, preferred.
  • Nursing licensure required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $140,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, retirement plan, and paid time off.
