About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at Covington Family Dentistry. As a key member of our oral health care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough dental cleanings and hygiene procedures to ensure optimal oral health for our patients.
  • Take x-rays and intraoral photos to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Schedule patients and manage their dental care needs.
  • Develop and present treatment plans to patients, ensuring they understand their oral health needs and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with our dentist to provide comprehensive care and make treatment recommendations.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide guidance on maintaining good oral health.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including answering phones, calling labs, and patient follow-up calls.
  • Stock supplies and maintain equipment to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Accurately document and maintain patient health information.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree from an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program.
  • Current state licensure to practice as a dental hygienist.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Proficiency in dental patient management software, such as Open Dental or Dentrix.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail and adaptability.
