Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at ProCare Therapy. As a Special Education Teacher, you will collaborate with educators, parents, and specialists to ensure every student receives the personalized attention and resources necessary to thrive academically and socially.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the varying learning capabilities of students.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and technologies to engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and other specialists to support student learning and development.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teaching License or eligibility for certification.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and disabilities.
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques and positive behavior support strategies.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
