Job Summary

Cephas Consultancy Services Private Limited is seeking a highly skilled Special Procedures Technologist to join our team. As a Special Procedures Technologist, you will be responsible for performing special procedures, interventional imaging, and preparing patients for procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients correctly for specific examinations, observing different and special requirements for each protocol.
  • Assume responsibilities for designated areas and/or procedures and produce good technical images, reviewing completed scans for quality and completeness.
  • Assist physicians during procedures as necessary.
  • Perform quality assurance and calibrations as needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all areas, equipment, and accessories.
  • Print patient CDs if needed.
  • Perform routine office duties, such as answering phones, checking previous reports/films, and documenting information on patient requests.
  • Notify front desk staff upon exam completion.
  • May be assigned as instructor or preceptor.
  • Introduce themselves and educate each patient or family member regarding the examination that is ordered.
  • Attend staff meetings and in-services.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an allied health education and accredited radiography school or hospital-based program. NY State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit is required. ARRT registered (RT) and radiograph (R) certification is also required. ARRT Vascular Interventional certification within 1 year of hire is highly preferred. BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required or must be completed within 90 days of hire. 2 years of neuro interventional experience is required for newly hired Special Procedures Technologists working in Neuro Interventional Radiology (NIR).
