Role Summary
The Human Resource Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while managing payroll systems and collaborating with department leaders and employees on various personnel matters. Reporting Structure
Reports to: District Store Director, Store Manager, and Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, and Health Wellness Home
Supervises: All store personnel and any additional roles assigned by the Store Director
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver friendly and efficient customer service, demonstrating empathy and patience in all interactions.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or addressing their needs.
- Maintain accurate employee records in the payroll system, ensuring timely updates and changes.
- Provide guidance to department heads and employees on performance reviews, scheduling, benefits, and compensation.
- Address customer complaints effectively and follow up with appropriate communication.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment and retention strategies to ensure optimal staffing levels.
- Facilitate the hiring process, including interviewing and onboarding new employees.
- Conduct employee orientations and training sessions.
- Participate in regular staff meetings to discuss operational updates and team performance.
- Manage payroll adjustments and ensure accurate processing of employee compensation.
- Prepare and distribute necessary employee documentation, including paychecks and tax forms.
- Oversee compliance with company policies and maintain a professional work environment.
Additional Responsibilities
- Organize quarterly meetings for part-time employees.
- Coordinate store events and employee recognition programs.
- Assist in managing office supplies and departmental needs.
- Support other store functions as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma with additional education in Human Resources or Accounting preferred.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform light physical tasks, including lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Visual acuity for tasks requiring close and distant vision.
Work Environment
This position may involve exposure to various workplace conditions and requires the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Equipment Utilized
