Facilities Maintenance Specialist

At Abbott Laboratories, we are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician II to join our Infectious Disease Lateral Flow business unit. This role involves performing routine repairs and maintenance on facilities equipment under general supervision.
About the RoleWe are looking for an individual with hands-on experience in electro-mechanical repair, rebuild, and field service. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with formal preventive maintenance programs and experience working in a company operating under ISO, FDA, or similar quality systems or regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine, periodic, and special inspections to identify necessary repairs and corrective actions.
- Complete preventive maintenance work orders using Maximo CMMS.
- Assist in packing, moving, and reconfiguring facility areas as needed.
- Perform renovation and repair tasks on facilities, including walls, doors, windows, and flooring.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar field.
- A strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skills.
- The ability to safely and effectively repair and upgrade equipment as needed.
The base pay for this position is $22.15 - $44.25 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a 401(k) plan.
