Job Summary: We are seeking a Physician Specialist (Psychiatrist) to provide direct clinical care to state prisoners in the Central Region facilities. The successful candidate will work collaborately with multidisciplinary teams to maintain effective communication with staff and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatrist assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain knowledge of and follow DOC and UCHC policies and procedures
  • Order, initiate and interpret laboratory tests as medically necessary
  • Presume and renew medications that are deemed medically necessary within required time frames

Requirements:

  • Certified by the American Board Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) in Psychiatry with valid NJ medical license, CDS and NJ DEA
  • Computer Literacy and Valid Driver's License

Salary and Benefits: The estimated salary range is $149,000 - $300,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefit program includes health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development. The position requires a full onsite work arrangement and is exempt from overtime pay.
