Job Overview
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Data Expert to join their team in the Office of Advanced Research Computing. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for contributing to various aspects of clinical research data management, analysis, and visualization.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain data quality by performing analytical tasks, developing visualization techniques, and aiding in the selection and application of analytical tools within a clinical research data warehouse context.
- Utilize EPIC data structures and other healthcare-related data systems to ensure seamless data integration and analysis.
- Lead team efforts to implement effective Quality Assurance (QA) processes, maintaining the integrity and accuracy of clinical research data within the data warehouse.
- Develop impactful visual representations of data using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
- Design and optimize analytical workflows for data acquisition, analysis, and reporting within the clinical research context.
- Recommend and implement appropriate analytical tools and methodologies to support research teams in leveraging data for analysis.
- Stay up-to-date with all pertinent federal, state, and Rutgers' regulations, laws, and policies affecting clinical research data management.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Biomedical Informatics, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in data analysis, data quality assurance, and data visualization within a clinical research or healthcare environment.
- Proven experience working with clinical research data warehouses or similar healthcare data systems.
- Certification from the EPIC health system and familiarity with medical ontologies, including ICD-9/10 and CPT codes.
- Proficiency in analytical tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar tools for data manipulation and analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Estimated Salary
The estimated annual salary range for this position is $73,161 - $104,450, depending on qualifications and experience.
