As a Resilient Pediatric Therapist Specialist, you'll play a vital role in enhancing performance and optimizing movement, development, and function for our young patients.
The Relief Physical Therapists at LPCHS provide intervention from infancy to adulthood to address various physical conditions and enhance functional levels. Under the guidance of Rehab Management, this position performs physical therapy care, responsible for all clinical aspects, including evaluation, treatment planning, and progression. This includes using heat, light, water, electricity, sound, and massage properties, as well as gait and transfer training, active, passive, and resistive exercises.
Job Responsibilities- Provides patient care tasks with medically complicated patient populations, determining rehab prognosis and implementing clinically indicated therapy plans.
- Evaluates, recommends, and trains on durable medical equipment use, discharging patients as clinically indicated with adequate discharge planning.
- Identifies needs for equipment repair or upgrade, making recommendations for selection and purchase of specific equipment and supplies.
- Participates in interdisciplinary care planning, communicating with other care providers, and instructing patients and families.
- Ensures timely, accurate, and complete documentation and billing, including evaluation, assessment, treatment precautions, plan of care, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- An ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Sound clinical reasoning skills consistent with standards of care and professional practice standards.
- Knowledge of legal issues affecting clinical practice, regulatory requirements, and available equipment and vendors.
- Ability to work well and build relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Able to manage clinical caseloads and provide appropriate care and progress treatment based on professional standards and patient needs.
We offer a competitive salary range within our scales, based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities required for the role. Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid-salary range. For this position, the estimated salary is between $121,659.20 and $146,109.60.
