Job Description
Patient Care Expertise
As a Relief Physical Therapist at LPCHS, you will work closely with patients from infancy to adulthood, providing expert physical therapy care to enhance their performance and optimize movement, development, and function. Your role will involve evaluating patients, developing personalized care plans, and implementing treatments to achieve optimal outcomes. You will also oversee patient care responsibilities of Physical Therapy Interns, Physical Therapist Assistants, and Rehabilitation Aides.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine rehab prognosis and implement clinically indicated therapy plans of care.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and train patients on the use of durable medical equipment.
  • Discharge patients from treatment as clinically indicated, ensuring adequate discharge planning, including equipment procurement and patient/family training.
  • Initiate and participate in interdisciplinary care planning to meet the needs of each patient and family.

Requirements
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California by the Physical Therapy Board of California. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of clinical reasoning, safety awareness, and problem analysis and resolution. Experience working with complex patient populations and knowledge of evaluation and treatment methodologies are essential. You must also demonstrate self-directed learning skills to remain current with evidence-based practice.
