Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Hospitality and Tourism Professor to join our team at the University of North Texas. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of hospitality and tourism management, with a focus on restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses in hospitality and tourism management, including restaurant operations, catering, and event design
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to engage students and promote learning
  • Collaborate with department and college faculty and staff to plan and develop curriculum
  • Lead students in menu design, food preparation, planning, and pricing menu items
  • Order supplies and manage records and accounts
  • Travel to off-campus locations to monitor students and teach classes

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Hospitality, Food Science, Gastronomy, or related field
  • 15+ years of work-related experience in the hospitality industry
  • Prior teaching experience and industry engagement/membership
  • American Culinary Federation Certification preferred
