We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Optometric Assistant to join our team at Marathon Staffing. As an Optometric Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our optometrists in providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist optometrists with patient screenings, pre-examinations, and light clerical duties.
  • Pre-screen patients by obtaining medical and vision history, verifying vision insurance, and performing preliminary vision tests.
  • Administer eye drops to patients as needed during the pre-screening process.
  • Keep patient files organized, record data for optometrists, and perform other light clerical tasks in the front office.
  • Schedule appointments and follow-up visits for patients and record data for patient billing purposes.
  • Responsible for keeping the reception area clean and well-organized, as well as cleaning and straightening patient exam rooms.
  • Assist with adjusting and repairing eyeglasses, teaching patients how to put in contact lenses, and ordering merchandise as needed.
