SUMMARY: The Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering therapeutic interventions under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. This position involves executing treatment plans and utilizing physical modalities as prescribed by the supervising Physical Therapist, following a thorough assessment of the patient’s needs. The Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant is dedicated to aiding patients in regaining their functional abilities and enhancing their quality of life post-injury, illness, or physical limitations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of treatment protocols designed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Support patients in achieving their highest potential for mobility and independence.
  • Engage in departmental operations and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 6 months of relevant experience is desirable.
  • Licensure: Must possess a valid Physical Therapist Assistant License in California, along with current BLS and MAB certifications (to be obtained within 90 days of employment).
