Job Summary

The Physical Therapy Assistant plays a vital role in our healthcare team, working under the supervision of a registered physical therapist to provide direct patient care, family/caregiver training, and documentation. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assisting with exercises, transfers, and other physical therapy interventions.
  • Train family members and caregivers on proper techniques and strategies for supporting patients.
  • Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Perform departmental supportive tasks as assigned, including maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
  • Graduate from a 2-year college-level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • California Physical Therapy Assistant License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year experience in rehabilitation.
