Position Overview

The Resident Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing scheduled preventive maintenance and assisting in the installation and commissioning of KPI Solutions projects. This role is crucial in ensuring optimal equipment performance and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment as outlined by the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Provide corrective and reactive maintenance support for plant assets as necessary.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on equipment failures to mitigate future occurrences.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of KPI Solutions projects as assigned.
  • Facilitate start-up services to ensure seamless transitions from project completion to operational service.
  • Train clients on the maintenance and recovery of their systems.
  • Support clients with parts orders, repairs, warranty services, and inquiries regarding their systems.

Qualifications

  • Completion of vocational training, military experience, or equivalent job experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience in at least three of the following areas:
    • Software Development, particularly in logistics.
    • Controls Development, especially for conveyor systems or similar equipment.
    • Installation and service of AMR, AGV, and SDV systems.
    • Mechanical installation and integration, focusing on high-automation projects.
    • Client service and troubleshooting expertise.
    • Facilities and parts management.
    • Project Management experience.
  • Strong communication skills that foster client trust and satisfaction.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in PC software and hardware.
  • Basic understanding of computer networking.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.
  • Frequent interaction with team members and management.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and activities.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and navigate confined spaces.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Availability for on-call hours, including weekends and holidays.
