Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team at Magna International. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for building, fabricating, and repairing tooling, fixtures, and other components to support our plant production. If you have a strong background in tool making, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for innovation, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Build, fabricate, and repair tooling, fixtures, and other components as necessary to ensure plant production support.
  • Service, maintain, and test new or changed dies, modify dies and tooling to conform to engineering changes.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all tooling and familiarize yourself with SAP for work orders.
  • Troubleshoot problems during production and verify conformance of machined or repaired dies to specifications.
  • Operate a variety of small machines, tools, and equipment.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree (AA) from a two-year technical school or one to two years of related experience and/or training.
  • 4-year apprentice trade certificate in Tool making.
  • Ability to read blueprints and preferred CAD experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Class A experience.
  • Welding experience.
  • Tandem, Progressive, Blanking, and Transfer Die experience.
  • Strong communications skills.
