Eaton's CPDI PDI division is seeking a Quality Technician to join our team in Richmond, VA. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality of our products, which are critical components in various industries, including utilities, data centers, hospitality, and commercial institutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect products to ensure they meet company and customer quality expectations
- Determine the root cause of non-conforming parts and implement corrective actions
- Verify first article inspection of all production lines
- Perform control and process audits as scheduled
- Report inspections and audits using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Investigate non-conforming products and use problem-solving techniques to resolve issues
- Contribute to pre-production quality planning, including developing quality assembly documents and attending product and process reviews
- Support manufacturing engineering in machine capability studies for new and existing machines
- High school diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
- Associate degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology, or other technical degree
- ASQ Quality Technician Certification preferred
- 3 to 5 years of work experience as a Quality Technician, preferably in the power industry
