Rehabilitation Specialist (Occupational Therapist)
Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 annually, based on experience
Work Schedule: Full-time | Monday to Friday | Flexible hours
Service Area: Dayton/Springfield, Ohio and nearby regions
Qualifications for the Rehabilitation Specialist role:
- Must possess a valid Occupational Therapist license
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Willingness to travel is essential
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance are mandatory
- Reliable transportation is necessary
- Experience in home health settings is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments and evaluations for new clients.
- Deliver occupational therapy services by engaging in assessment, treatment planning, implementation, documentation, and communication.
- Travel to various facilities or residential locations for patient evaluations.
- Perform follow-up visits to monitor client progress.
- Oversee Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs).
- Identify the need for client evaluations at appropriate intervals under the guidance of the Therapy Director.
- Implement individualized treatment plans focusing on activities of daily living, mobility, strength, coordination, cognitive/perceptual skills, and maintenance of functional abilities.
- Maintain a weekly caseload of 27-32 visits (full-time).
- Utilize a standardized electronic documentation system for record-keeping.
- Foster positive relationships with colleagues, supervisors, clients, family members, community personnel, and administrative staff.
