Job Title: Employment Specialist

At SPIN, we are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Employment Specialist to join our team. As an Employment Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or co-occurring disorders to achieve their employment goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide employment support to individuals, maintaining therapeutic boundaries, to ensure their safety and needs are met in accordance with the Individual Support Plan (ISP).
  • Advocate for the individual and/or promote self-advocacy to meet individual needs, facilitating personal growth and development towards recovery and wellness.
  • Assist individuals with job maintenance by teaching personal and professional skills development, facilitating successful employment and supporting employer objectives and needs.
  • Achieve and monitor department productivity levels and service delivery through the attainment of outcomes and units of service goals.
Requirements:
  • High School/GED required; Associates Degree preferred.
  • 2 years of experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities or co-occurring disorders.
  • 1 year of employment experience preferred.
  • Driver's license, vehicle, insurance, and willingness to travel in the local region.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination.
