Pediatric Registered Behavior Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Registered Behavior Technician to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health. As a key member of our Behavioral Health team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with developmental disabilities, pediatric feeding disorders, and other behavioral diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct sessions with patients using standard procedures under the direction of a professional behavior analyst
  • Provide suggestions of possible procedures and methods to a professional behavior analyst
  • Assist professional behavior analysts in implementing intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge procedures
  • Prepare initial drafts of session materials, session descriptions, and progress notes
  • Enter assessment and treatment data into spreadsheets and graph the data
  • Report the behavior and environment in observable and measurable terms to a professional behavior analyst and provide goal updates
  • Perform initial analysis of findings and present recommendations to a professional behavior analyst
  • Assist in the creation of data-collection protocols and systems
  • Assist with the development of skill-acquisition programs and behavior-reduction programs
Requirements:
  • High-school degree/GED
  • American Heart Association BLS Provider
  • Completion of RBT Competency Assessment of the BACB prior to or within 1 month of start date
  • Must pass RBT exam within 3 months of start date
