Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced clinician to lead our Women's Health and Early Pediatrics Clinic in San Rafael. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to working with vulnerable populations and prior primary care and leadership experience.

About Us: Marin City Health and Wellness Center (MCHWC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides innovative health and wellness services to all, with the goal of African American health equity.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain clinical programs to deliver high-quality women's health care to our patients.
  • Provide input on the impact of clinic programs and policies on our patients and staff.
  • Maintain existing and establish new partnerships with community partners serving our patients and their families.
  • Assist in development of patient care policies, protocols, and procedures related to provision of women's health care services.
  • Contribute to the implementation of a comprehensive quality management program related to women's health services.
  • Provide direct patient care, with a standard of excellence appropriate for a clinical leader.
  • Provide patient follow up and referrals as needed.
  • Provide health education and counseling to patients, in a sensitive and supportive manner.

Qualifications:

  • Current California license, including furnishing license.
  • Past work experience in leadership roles or positions.
  • Demonstrated medical clinical skills.
  • Interest in working with a diverse patient population in a community-based organization and sensitivity to their needs and health problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with individuals from a wide range of ages, socio-economic, ethnic, racial backgrounds, and disabilities.
  • Spanish language ability an asset.
  • Ability to work well independently under minimum supervision.
  • Valid California driver's license, automobile, and automobile liability insurance.
  • Experience with electronic health records, specifically Epic and/or eCW strongly preferred.
  • Community health clinic background preferred.
  • Experience as part of a team-based care model preferred.
