OBJECTIVE:
To provide visionary leadership in developing and managing educational programs that maximize human and material resources, ensuring high-quality educational experiences for students in a secure and structured environment.
SUPERVISION:
Oversees assigned personnel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* (1) Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the instructional program at the school.
* (2) Utilize current research and performance data to enhance instruction and student outcomes.
* (3) Foster high levels of student achievement.
* (4) Collaborate with instructional staff on program planning.
* (5) Oversee the selection of educational materials and resources.
* (6) Manage the school's assessment and testing programs.
* (7) Align school initiatives with district and state objectives.
* (8) Establish procedures for curriculum evaluation involving students, teachers, parents, and the community.
* (9) Direct the creation of the master schedule and allocate teaching assignments based on identified needs.
* (10) Facilitate curriculum continuity within the school and with feeder institutions.
* (11) Conduct interviews and recommend qualified candidates for employment.
* (12) Supervise staff, conduct performance evaluations, and recommend employment actions.
* (13) Implement and manage employee contracts at the school.
* (14) Assign personnel to special projects to enhance school performance.
* (15) Develop job assignments for school administrators, teachers, and support staff.
* (16) Create and manage duty rosters for staff as needed.
* (17) Oversee all school activities and functions.
* (18) Build positive relationships with the community and act as a liaison.
* (19) Communicate effectively with parents, students, and the community.
* (20) Analyze and interpret data for informed decision-making.
* (21) Establish accreditation procedures and monitor compliance.
* (22) Participate in the development of strategic plans and staffing requirements.
* (23) Assess long-term facility needs for the school.
* (24) Coordinate facility and support service requirements.
* (25) Ensure safety and maintenance inspections are conducted.
* (26) Supervise transportation services for the school.
* (27) Manage the school's financial resources, including budget preparation and oversight.
* (28) Implement student accounting and attendance procedures.
* (29) Oversee the school food service program.
* (30) Conduct staff meetings to address policies, programs, and issues.
* (31) Keep the Superintendent informed of significant issues.
* (32) Maintain accurate property inventory and ensure security.
* (33) Enforce school board policies and regulations.
* (34) Ensure timely preparation of reports and records.
* (35) Establish guidelines for student conduct and implement disciplinary measures.
* (36) Develop crisis management procedures and provide leadership during emergencies.
* (37) Supervise extracurricular programs and activities.
* (38) Oversee athletic and student activity programs, including sponsor and coach selection.
* (39) Maintain visibility and accessibility on campus.
* (40) Attend school-related events and activities.
* (41) Manage professional development for staff.
* (42) Provide training and feedback to personnel.
* (43) Participate in professional development meetings.
* (44) Uphold high standards of professional conduct.
* (45) Contribute to the Superintendent's management team.
* (46) Lead school improvement initiatives and implement improvement plans.
* (47) Collaborate with stakeholders to establish a vision and mission for the school.
* (48) Set high standards for self and the organization.
* (49) Utilize effective interpersonal skills to guide teams towards achieving goals.
(50) Perform additional duties as assigned in line with the objectives of this role.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Medium Work: Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as needed to move objects.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and benefits will align with the approved compensation plan of the Department.
EVALUATION:
Performance will be assessed according to the Board's evaluation policy.
