Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Associate Engagement Coordinator to join our team at SpartanNash Company. As a key member of our human resources department, you will be responsible for driving the employment life cycle for assigned stores, focusing on internal employee engagement initiatives to promote a people-first culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full cycle recruiting process, including posting jobs, conducting interviews, and coordinating final interviews with store leadership.
Set up and conduct orientation for stores as needed.
Partner with local HR Business Partners to post hiring events or add resources to staff as needed.
Own the first 90 days of employment for new hires, validating training and driving engaged teams.
Manage store engagement programs, including recognition on a daily, weekly, and periodic basis.
Ensure compliance ownership at the store/location level, processing timely terminations, I-9 processing, and supporting scheduling and Kronos reporting.
Own off-stage locations in stores for the associate experience, including break rooms, offices, and training spaces.
Serve as Person-In-Charge for portion of weekly schedules as needed.

Requirements:

High School Diploma (Required)
College degree or coursework in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related area preferred.
One-year Human Resources administrative support experience or Human Resource college coursework required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer service skills; ability to interact with associates at all levels.
Must have attention to detail, strong data entry skills, and effective organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Knowledge of principles and practices of human resources is highly preferred.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), required, and prior experience with HRIS/HRMS preferred.
Ability to manage in a fast-paced and energetic environment.
Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers and lead by example.
Attention to details and a commitment to timely responses as needed.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and may bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is subject to a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures) and is exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
