About this Job

As an Infectious Disease Nurse, you'll play a vital role in preventing the spread of infectious viruses, including dangerous outbreaks and epidemics. Your expertise will be essential in implementing, monitoring, and revising infection control policies for long-term care facilities, hospitals, clinics, and hospice centers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and monitor infection control policies and procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to prevent the spread of infectious diseases
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure effective infection control practices
  • Provide education and training to staff on infection control best practices
  • Monitor and report on infection control metrics and trends
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years recent experience in infection control or a related field
  • Active license or accreditation in one of the 50 US states
  • Additional requirements and certifications as requested by the facility/unit
  • An enthusiastic and adventurous spirit with a desire to help
