We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our retail construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Manage day-to-day activities to meet project milestones and ultimately meet or beat project completion date.
- Team Leadership: Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to plans and specifications.
- Trade Knowledge: Has knowledge and experience with other trades scope of work.
- Progress Monitoring: Maintain daily and weekly logs of construction progress.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintain job-site safety, health and cleanliness, and daily inspection of construction site to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other applicable regulations.
- Issue Identification: Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to produce issues and plan coordination problems prior to beginning construction of the project.
- Communication: Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, subcontractors, and clients.
- Documentation: Ensure project documentation and reports are complete.
- Meetings and Close-out: Attend all necessary job-site meetings, whether on-site or off-site, and manage the punch lists and close out of the project.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a superintendent on Ground Up projects.
- Knowledge and Skills: Advance knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods, ability to generate and drive master schedule, capacity to motivate, lead and boost morale of the teams, competent in conflict and crisis management, and knowledge and experience with Procore or similar software.
