Nurse Oncologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Oncologist to join our team at Saratoga Hospital. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Chemotherapy Administration:
- Develop and implement treatment plans, administering chemotherapy safely and effectively, and managing potential side effects.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and symptom reviews, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Patient Assessment:
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history, physical examination, and laboratory results, to inform treatment decisions.
- Evaluate patient understanding of treatment plans and symptom management, providing education and support as needed.
- Communication:
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Provide empathetic and effective support to patients and families, addressing concerns and answering questions in a timely manner.
- Patient Care:
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Manage blood and urine specimens, maintain port devices, and ensure accurate documentation of patient information.
- Patient Education:
- Develop and deliver educational materials, reviewing them with patients and families to ensure understanding and compliance.
- Administrative:
- Assist with administrative tasks, including disability forms, insurance verifications, and prescription pre-authorizations, to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Nurse Oncologist with a strong background in oncology nursing. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Licensure in New York State.
- A minimum of three years of experience in oncology nursing, with a focus on chemotherapy administration and patient care.
- OCN certification.
We offer a competitive salary range of $32 - $53.81 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Grade:N10
Compensation:Compensation varies based on experience, qualifications, shift, and location.

Schedule:Full-Time, Day Shift (8am-4:30pm/8:30am-5pm)
