About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at Breaking Ground. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our buildings, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective building operations
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime and reduce costs
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure timely and quality work
  • Oversee the maintenance of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations
  • Respond to emergency situations and resolve issues promptly
  • Assist with budgeting and financial planning for maintenance operations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school certification or associate's degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field
  • Supervisory experience and strong leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software
  • Basic skills in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and drywall application
  • Current certifications in S-12 Fire Sprinkler, S-13 Standpipe, and S-95 Fire Alarm Systems
  • Ability to read and understand design drawings and English language
  • Ability to work with diverse populations, including individuals with mental illness and histories of homelessness
