KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety of guests, maintain facility cleanliness, and deliver exceptional customer service at the Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre during operational hours.
  • Assist in the enforcement of risk management policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with institutional guidelines.
  • Manage lift operations, verify passes, secure waivers, assist with tubing activities, and allocate rental equipment to patrons.
  • Effectively relay any concerns or customer feedback to the Snowflex Manager on duty.
  • Maintain clean and organized outdoor facilities by restocking supplies and ensuring cleanliness in restrooms and public areas.
  • Support the upkeep of rental equipment and the Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre through regular cleaning and maintenance.
  • Participate in events and operations during evening, night, or weekend shifts as required.
  • Attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings related to Campus Recreation.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Assistant Director of Slope Operations to facilitate Campus Recreation functions and programming.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team member, promoting and supporting the mission of Liberty University.
SUPERVISORY ROLE
  • This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements
  • Must be a current student at Liberty University.
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification is required.
  • Ability to work up to 18 hours per week.
  • Availability for a variety of shifts, including weekends, early mornings, afternoons, and late nights.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a customer service role.
  • Background in the Ski and Snowboard industry.
  • Aspirations to pursue a career in recreation management.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Communication
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in English to convey messages clearly and professionally.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
Problem Solving
  • Capable of reasoning and analyzing information to resolve routine and complex issues.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Regularly required to hear and speak for effective communication.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs within the facility.
  • Ability to handle materials and lift up to 40 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

The working environment will vary based on facility needs, with potential assignments outdoors in extreme weather conditions or in climate-controlled areas.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS

No driving is necessary for this position.
