Job Title:

Registered Nurse / Emergency Department

Job Summary:

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to fill an opening in an Outpatient Clinic located in Flowery Branch, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of current experience in an emergency department or major trauma center emergency room.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients
  • Document observations, assessments, and changes in patient's condition
  • Collaborate with health team members to facilitate positive patient care outcomes
  • Provide a full range of nursing care to patients with various physical and behavioral problems
  • Assess and care for patients with a wide range of physical and psychological diagnoses
  • Care for patients undergoing operative/invasive procedures
  • Care for patients requiring special precautions such as isolation
  • Insert and maintain peripheral lines
  • Maintain central lines for administration of intravenous fluid
  • Complete and accurate documentation of care, on time, according to facility/unit policies
  • Phlebotomy and bedside testing
  • On-call status may be required at the discretion of the Nurse Manager
  • Insertion and troubleshooting of Urinary catheters
  • Initiates patient education, as prescribed by the physician during discharge
  • Display and promote professionalism and excellent customer service during interactions with patients and their families/caregivers
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years current experience in an emergency department or major trauma center emergency room
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or in a related field or a master's degree in Nursing or in a related field is highly preferred
  • Unrestricted registered nurse license from any state (United States)
  • Preferred to have the Certification of Emergency Nursing (CEN) through the Board of Certifications for Emergency Nurses (BCEN)
