Position Overview:
The Vice President of Traffic Operations is tasked with spearheading teams of engineers and technical specialists within the Traffic Operations sector. This position encompasses oversight of various elements of the Traffic Operations group, including Traffic Impact Analyses (TIAs), signalization strategies, intersection enhancement plans, turn lane modifications, and comprehensive traffic assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Directs and guides the project design team by managing workload, scheduling, project timelines, quality assurance/quality control, and other necessary tasks within project scopes.
- Fosters the professional and technical growth of the team by providing oversight and constructive feedback on project outputs.
- Actively seeks and secures contracts within state and local municipalities.
- Introduces innovative ideas and methodologies to clients and stakeholders.
- Aids in the development of proposals (both private and public), project scoping, and nurturing client relationships.
- Monitors budgets utilizing financial metrics.
- Engages in professional associations and participates in industry networking events.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas.
- Over 15 years of multi-disciplinary experience in traffic engineering, including management of teams comprising 10 or more members.
- Proven ability to handle multiple work assignments and contracts for various clients concurrently.
- Skilled in technically and professionally mentoring project team members.
- Adaptable to evolving client requirements.
- Capable of working independently in response to project demands.
- Exceptional aptitude for developing and maintaining professional relationships.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with colleagues and clients.
- Availability to work standard hours with potential for overtime as necessary.
