Job Title: Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Maryland Oncology Hematology. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and education to individuals with cancer and related diagnoses.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Initiate and document appropriate interventions; evaluate and record patient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated.
  • Perform procedures after appropriate training.
  • Assess patient/family needs and provide education.
  • Promote wellness and recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs.
  • Incorporate the developing knowledge of evidence-based research into clinical practice.
  • Developing knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Complete patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion.
  • May provide case management for patients and their families, given limited knowledge of community resources.
  • May promote/provide staff education.
  • Responsibilities may include rounding at affiliated hospitals and weekend or after-hour calls.
Qualifications:
  • Nurse Practitioner
  • Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
  • This position is entry-level and typically requires a minimum of 0-3 years post MSN experience, preferably in the chosen specialty.
  • RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
