About the Role

JP Cullen, a leading construction management firm, is seeking a highly skilled VDC Engineer to join our team. As a VDC Engineer, you will play a critical role in implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies for our projects, from preconstruction to turnover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Model Integration and Coordination: Collect and integrate models for all project team parties, run MEP coordination meetings, and maintain issue logs to ensure timely resolution.
  • Laser Scanning and Data Development: Operate laser scanners, coordinate, and model laser scanned data for integration in models, and develop design documents from data.
  • BIM/CAD Support: Provide BIM/CAD needs for project teams, including generating 2D/3D/4D site logistics plans, utilizing models to support construction operations and planning, and conducting regular QA/QC field walks.
  • Issue Resolution and Coordination: Coordinate and solve BIM-related issues with project teams, and incorporate constructability and construction means and methods into BIM models.
  • Modeling and Visualization: Generate 3D/4D models for business development, marketing, pre-construction, and construction teams, and oversee electronic file management.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Four-year engineering degree related to construction or equivalent technical training and related experience, or a minimum of four years of construction site experience.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced expertise and experience in the current release of AutoCAD & Revit, and one or more of the following: Navisworks Manage, Trimble SketchUp, AutoCAD MEP, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Autodesk Inventor, FARO Scene.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to follow through in a self-motivated fashion, work well as part of a team and independently, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
