Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join our team at Modern Government Solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work on radar programs supporting all phases of development from requirements generation through hardware and firmware design, fabrication, integration, and test.

About the Role:

  • This position will be responsible for designing and testing radar sub-systems in support of DoD and international customers.
  • You will work closely with systems and software engineering groups to facilitate integration and testing of complex subsystems.
  • Mentor younger engineers and contribute to the growth and development of the team.
  • You will be required to interface with RF test equipment and troubleshoot complex subsystems.

Responsibilities:

Broad Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing board and chassis-level analog and RF circuits (50 MHz-20 GHz).
  • Working projects from requirements through integration.
  • Understanding RF gain and noise performance.
  • Completing associated design documentation, test plans, test procedures, and test reports.

Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 8-15 years of related hardware design experience.
  • Proficient with RF test equipment.
  • Able to troubleshoot complex subsystems.
  • Able to travel to support occasional site integration-related activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance (within past 2 years of start date).
  • M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering.

Salary Information:

The estimated annual salary for this role is between $120,000-$180,000 based on national averages and industry standards for senior hardware design engineers in the Mount Laurel, NJ area.
