Job Summary:

The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for providing technical support for endoscopic procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians and nurses with endoscopic procedures, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Operate and maintain endoscopic equipment, ensuring proper function and safety.
  • Prepare and restock supplies, maintaining inventory levels and ordering as needed.
  • Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure smooth procedure flow and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to process enhancements.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; ASGE Endoscopy Technician certification preferred.
  • One year of experience in a medical environment, with previous endoscopy experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a safe and organized workspace.
