Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified adjunct faculty member to teach a variety of science and engineering courses at Central Arizona College. The successful candidate will have a strong background in their discipline and the ability to develop and deliver engaging instructional materials.

Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned classes in accordance with college policy and in a variety of modalities, including face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.
  • Develop and present course materials, including lectures, laboratories, and other learning venues.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide feedback in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with students and colleagues as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in the discipline or subfield, or a master's degree in any field with 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline or subfield.
  • Varies by discipline and specialized accreditation agency.
Compensation

$900/credit hour.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Current knowledge in the subject area and ability to develop instructional materials that promote learning.
  • Ability to utilize alternative teaching techniques and instructional technology.
