Position Overview

The University of Central Oklahoma is seeking a dedicated individual to support student wellness initiatives. Under the guidance of the Counseling Center's clinical team, the Case Manager will facilitate holistic wellness for students through individual interactions and group settings, such as classrooms and workshops. This role is essential in helping students identify and overcome barriers to their academic achievements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments for students seeking assistance at the Counseling Center.
  • Assist clients in accessing community resources, including recreational activities, housing, food, clothing, and mental health services.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to develop, monitor, and assess treatment plans.
  • Connect students with both campus and community resources.
  • Engage in follow-up activities to ensure successful referrals and resource connections.
  • Provide skills coaching and educational workshops on wellness topics.
  • Document all client interactions and maintain accurate records related to student services.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions organized by the Counseling Center.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates must be enrolled at least half-time in a graduate program related to behavioral health. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a diverse community are essential. The role demands collaboration with various stakeholders and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with applicable laws and ethical standards.
