Position Overview Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Associate Attorney, your role will encompass a variety of duties, including:
1. Advocate for clients throughout all phases of civil litigation, from initiation to resolution, in both court and negotiation settings.
2. Prepare and respond to discovery requests, including interrogatories and admissions.
3. Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to inform case strategies.
4. Draft and argue pretrial motions, conduct depositions, and engage in arbitration or mediation.
5. Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
6. Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff.
7. Stay informed on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends.
8. Provide legal counsel to clients while maintaining confidentiality.
9. Build and nurture client relationships to better understand their objectives.
10. Engage in business development initiatives to attract and retain clients.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Litigation Associate Attorney role should possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
2. Admitted to the bar and in good standing to practice law.
3. At least 3 years of experience in civil litigation.
4. Proven ability in drafting discovery documents.
5. Strong negotiation, research, and communication abilities.
6. Capability to manage multiple cases and tasks while adhering to deadlines.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Superior written and verbal communication skills.
10. High standards of professional ethics and integrity.
