PennState Health is seeking a skilled Per Diem Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse to join our team. As a Per Diem RN, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
- Administer medications and treatments, monitoring patients for reactions and side effects.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, empowering them to take an active role in their care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and evidence-based care.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment or multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
- AHA BLS certification prior to end of orientation period.
- Two (2) years of experience in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology or related field.
