Job Summary:

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team at HealthPRO Heritage. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with residents, nursing staff, and families to help them achieve their maximum potential and improve their quality of life.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate and assess residents' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
  2. Document resident progress and maintain accurate departmental records.
  3. Implement treatment plans, revise as needed, and instruct assistants in treatment procedures.
  4. Orient residents to program services, instruct in exercises and therapeutic procedures, and work with nursing staff to maximize residents' use of functional abilities.
  5. Establish and instruct residents and families in exercises and therapeutic procedures to be continued after discharge.
  6. Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and provide information on resident progress, problems, or needs.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current license/certification in the state of practice.
  • Prefer supervision, training, and/or experience in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population served by this facility.
  • Certification, if applicable, and demonstrated competency in identified areas of specialization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess resident needs and develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements.
  • Able to complete activities safely, including standing, pushing, lifting, stooping, reaching, and balancing.

Compensation Package: The estimated annual salary for this position is $68,000 - $93,000, depending on location and experience.
