Speech Pathologist

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team at Amedisys, a leading provider of home health, hospice, and high-acuity care. As a Speech Pathologist, you will work with adults to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Develop and implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders
- Work with patients to improve their communication skills and quality of life
Requirements:
- Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology in the state you are assigned to work
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- One (1+) year of experience in speech pathology
